Holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving! A day late.

I was looking for the cartoon in Holiday Inn (1942) of the turkey sitting of the calendar, but I couldn't find it. If you haven't seen the movie before, it is a good one to watch during the holidays. It stars Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Marjorie Reynolds. Some consider it a prequel (of sorts) to White Christmas (1954) staring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. The only things that connect the two movies are Bing Crosby and the song "White Christmas" by Irving Berlin.
'"White Christmas" is an Irving Berlin song reminiscing about an old-fashioned Christmas setting. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the version sung by Bing Crosby is the best-selling single of all time, with estimated sales in excess of 50 million copies worldwide.'  - Wikipedia
White Christmas is more on the comedic side, but what can you expect from Danny Kaye (The Court Jester)?

Both are very good movies and I recommend them - especially now that we are coming close to Christmas time.
